Apple Leaks😜 Specifications for the New iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro

On September 12, Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 15 family. In all likelihood, Apple will make the date official between Tuesday, August 29, and Tuesday, September 5.

It is being asserted that Apple will stop offering gold as a colour choice along with the retirement of stainless steel. Since the release of the iPhone XS in 2018, Apple has provided a stainless steel option in a gold hue. Apple will focus on the new titanium finish rather than gold. Apple will provide a new grey choice in addition to space black and silver that embraces the true colour of titanium.
With the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, a new era of titanium will begin. In addition to being physically distinctive, the new material will make each iPhone lighter than its stainless steel forerunners.
Some people wonder, why does Apple insist on having the Pro models be in such dull colors? Would it kill them to have a couple of vibrant hues? Like, For all the choices Samsung gives S23 Ultra owners, from more "professional" hues to ones that look more fun and exciting.
  • Silver: Timeless, if somewhat boring

  • Space Gray: Increasingly becoming dated but classic "pro" colour

  • Gray: Probably similar to the Apple Watch Ultra

  • Dark Blue: Perhaps similar to MacBook Air M2

Titanium does indeed look less good than aluminium or stainless steel . But it’s strong and lightweight, and perhaps anodized titanium looks better. Besides, most people use a case anyways so that looks probably don’t even matter that much.
Long ago Winston Churchill remarked that in wartime the truth was so important it needed to go about protected by a bodyguard of lies. For many, their iPhone matters so much it needs to be protected by a case. That renders it look of little importance.

Additionally, it is believed that Apple will bring out a brand-new dark blue colour for the titanium iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Instead of the red colour that we had previously heard, this will be the year's special colour, replacing deep purple.

Some iPhone 15 models, according to a rumour from last week, will support Thunderbolt for faster data transfer rates.

This may still be the case, but a recent rumour claims that the USB-C cable that comes with the device will only support USB 2.0 speeds. There is concurrence among various sources that the iPhone 15 will use a USB-C port in place of a Lightning connector.
As you are probably aware, USB-C has many advantages over Apple's proprietary connector, including increased compatibility, support for fast charging, and quicker data transfer.
But it's still unclear how Apple will implement USB-C in the iPhone 15. An image leaker shared pictures of the new iPhones' USB-C connectors earlier this month. Experts claim that these parts have a Retimer chip similar to those in Thunderbolt devices, allowing for up to 40 Gbps of transfer rates.

Majin Bu claims that the new traced USB-C cables are actually longer than the ones that come with the iPhone box right now. Additionally, the cables are thicker, which increases their durability. Despite having a USB-C connector, Majin Bu suggests that the leaked cables were USB 2.0 cables.
They can only transmit data at the same speeds as the Lightning connector, in other words. In a nutshell, USB 2.0 can only transmit data at a maximum speed of 480 Mbps. If this is the case, despite having a new charging connector, the new iPhones won't support faster data transmission.
The Apple Watch Series 7 distinctly had a titanium version. Could this provide some reference for how the 15 Pro titanium finishes might look?

It is also rumoured that Apple could offer Thunderbolt cable for iPhone 15 Pro as a separate purchase. According to a leaker known as @KosutamiSan on X, Apple could sell a short 0.8-meter cable rated at USB 4 Gen 2 as an optional accessory for iPhone 15 Pro.

This cable differs from Apple's existing Thunderbolt cable options and can produce 150W of output. These specs don't necessarily mean the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be capable of charging at 150W or transferring data at Thunderbolt speeds.

However, it does mean Apple could call the port Thunderbolt or USB 4 and offer specs much higher than the existing Lightning port. Kosutami isn't usually a future product leaker but has increasingly shared details about unreleased products. They've previously shared images of manufacturing test products called DVTs.

New iPhone 15 charging cable is rumored to be a bit longer than before.
A new leak suggests that not only is the cable that will ship with iPhone 15 braided, but it may be longer as well.
The iPhone 15 has been all but confirmed to be the first of Apple's smartphone lineup to switch to USB-C, rather than its proprietary Lightning port.
Now, a leaker suggests that Apple will include a 1.5 meter — nearly 5 feet long — woven USB-C to USB-C cable in the iPhone 15 box.
